Enter your date of birth and discover your exact age in years, months, days, hours and seconds — shown in both English and Assamese (অসমীয়া) numerals. See your Assamese birth month, the day of the week you were born, and a live countdown to your next birthday. Everything runs in your browser — your date never leaves your device.
Calculating age sounds simple — subtract birth year from current year — but real ages are more nuanced. You also need to know whether your birthday this year has already passed, how many days are left, how many actual days you have lived (with leap years included), and which Assamese (অসমীয়া) month you were born in. This calculator handles all of that for you in your browser, with no sign-up and no data leaving your device.
Most online age calculators only show results in Arabic numerals (0–9). Assamese students, government employees and writers often need their age in the local script for school forms, official documents, biographies and social media posts. Showing both English and Assamese numerals side-by-side lets you copy whichever you need — and confirms the conversion is correct.
The Assamese numeral system is identical to the Bengali digit set: ০ ১ ২ ৩ ৪ ৫ ৬ ৭ ৮ ৯. Each digit maps one-to-one with 0–9. If you want to learn more, see our Assamese Number Chart.
Assam follows the traditional Saka calendar with 12 lunisolar months, beginning with Bohag around mid-April (Bohag Bihu marks the Assamese New Year). The calculator looks at your Gregorian birth date and shows you which Assamese month it falls in:
| # | Assamese month | অসমীয়া | Gregorian (approx.) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Bohag | বহাগ | Mid-Apr → Mid-May |
| 2 | Jeth | জেঠ | Mid-May → Mid-Jun |
| 3 | Ahar | আহাৰ | Mid-Jun → Mid-Jul |
| 4 | Xaon | শাওণ | Mid-Jul → Mid-Aug |
| 5 | Bhado | ভাদ | Mid-Aug → Mid-Sep |
| 6 | Ahin | আহিন | Mid-Sep → Mid-Oct |
| 7 | Kati | কাতি | Mid-Oct → Mid-Nov |
| 8 | Aghon | আঘোণ | Mid-Nov → Mid-Dec |
| 9 | Puh | পুহ | Mid-Dec → Mid-Jan |
| 10 | Magh | মাঘ | Mid-Jan → Mid-Feb |
| 11 | Phagun | ফাগুন | Mid-Feb → Mid-Mar |
| 12 | Sot | চ'ত | Mid-Mar → Mid-Apr |
Note: the Assamese calendar is lunisolar, so the exact start date of each month shifts by 1–2 days every year. The mapping above is the standard approximation used in schoolbooks and matches the Assam Government almanac (পাঞ্জিকা) within ±1 day.

This is a 100% browser-based tool. Your date of birth and target date are processed locally by JavaScript and never sent to any server — no logs, no analytics on the data, no third-party tracking of what you enter. You can even use it offline once the page is loaded.
Enter your date of birth (and optionally a target date — by default it uses today). The tool calculates your exact age in years, months and days, plus your total days, hours, minutes and seconds lived. Results are shown in both English numerals (1, 2, 3) and Assamese numerals (১, ২, ৩).
Yes — the age in years, months and days uses standard calendar arithmetic (accounting for leap years and varying month lengths). Total seconds and minutes are computed precisely from timestamps and update live so you can watch them tick.
